In 1928, the young Chiaverini brothers decided to start a small business producing marmalades and jams outside the city walls of Florence. The jams, made from selected local farmers' fruit, were placed in wooden containers and transported by bicycle in woven baskets to city shops, where they were weighed and sold by weight in greaseproof paper. Many changes have taken place over the past 100 years, but the quality of the products, the recipes passed down from generation to generation, and the taste have remained the same. While modernizing its production equipment, Chiaverini has retained its values, which emphasize tradition, a passion for quality, and carefully selected ingredients.
