This is an exceptional 16 year old calvados, masterfully and precisely crafted in the heart of Normandy. This calvados is made from 100% cider apples grown in the Pays d'Auge region and distilled using the traditional double distillation method over a fire. After a long maturation in old French oak barrels, it is transferred to oloroso sherry barrels, which give the drink its unique sherry aromas. This long maturation process results in a powerful and multi-layered calvados with a distinct aroma of dried fruit, nuts and almonds. Aging in sherry casks gives the drink depth and creates a harmonious combination of dried fruit flavors, subtle oak tannins, and sherry sweetness. The taste is long-lasting and warm.
